Brussels

From the first demo to release day.

Start a project

Great records begin before the first microphone is placed.

Atelier XXIII helps independent artists develop their identity, make exceptional records and, when needed, build a strategy for putting them into the world.

The record remains the centre. For artists working without label infrastructure, the process can also extend into release thinking, campaign shape and the wider creative framing around how the music meets its audience.

Atelier XXIII is a Brussels-based independent creative practice led by producer and songwriter Imran Siddiqi, building every arrangement, performance and production decision outward from the song's emotional centre.

Meet the practice

One connected process, shaped around the artist.

01

Music Production

From pre-production and arrangement through performance, recording and the finished record—every decision serving the song.

02

Artist Development

A focused creative partnership for artists who need clarity, cohesion and a stronger sense of identity, with release thinking available when independent projects need it.

03

Songwriting

Collaborative writing, lyric development, instrumentation and arrangement work that strengthens the emotional centre without losing the artist.

04

Creative Direction

Finding the world around the music: sonic identity, references, collaborators and, when needed, a clear strategy for how the project meets the outside world.

Imran Siddiqi in the studio control room

A creative partnership, not simply a studio booking.

Imran brings more than two decades across songwriting, production, labels and touring to every project. The technical craft matters. The deeper work is knowing what the record wants to become—and creating the trust to get there.

That broader perspective can include release strategy when an artist needs it, but it is never presumed to be part of the work.
